--- Both Wave's ETS and Infineon's TPM are scrupulously presented by Intel as "user opts in" features.
--- The way a user opts in to Wave's ETS is by checking that box on the Intel install screen.
--- Opting in results in ETS shortcut-icons on the Windows desktop.
