I think deride is too strong a word in this connection. These boards are of course dominated by Americans. It has happened time and again that posters don't think I own any shares because I point out negative things about the companies. To me the point is to see if others can present counter arguments. The impressions I get may influence my investment decisions. I don't think individual posters have much influende on the stock price normally.
