Another big key is the media. They were all over the housing market last. Rates are going up, nobody's buying anything, hurry up and sell your house now if you have an ajustable rate etc. Truth of the matter is the rates were the same in 2003-2005 when there was a huge boom which were the lowest ever. They start the crap then people start believing it.

good thing i have no debt other than my mortgage [which i CAN afford :)] and money in the bank.
There will be some rough times coming soon. the signs are everywhere as you stated.
Forex USD verus everything is WAY down and heading lower.

there really is nothing that can be done for these people that took out mortgages for more than they can afford. It' s partly their fault [stupidity] and partly the bank's fault for telling them they could afford it. They just need to land on their ass and don't do it again.

i just hope the dominoes don't all start falling with Iran, syria, Chavez, ecomony, terror, etc, etc....
