I guess we disagree because I think relative performance matters. Maybe more than it should, but that seems to be the way it works if the parts are otherwise interchangeable. So Intel needs more than AMD64 systems, they need competitive AMD64 systems. Especially for 2P (workstation & server) and 4P (server), it's not going to be a cakewalk for them, especially given their 90nm difficulties so far.
