I think you hit the nail right on the head. We are witnessing the transfer of economic power from west to east. Where is all the gold going? Three guesses, and you could be right three times. Japan, China
and India. Potential scenario, Japan and China swap US$ paper for gold
and politely refuse further credit extentions to United States, you can take it from there.
We might see another serious problem pop up fairly soon. How will the United States react when China makes strong moves on Taiwan? China has the largest standing army in the world, full nuclear capability and
recently used the Hong Kong show to trot out their latest military toys.
I agree when the house of cards falls, it will be a most unpleasant situation. Gold and other real things will show their true value.
