I've used all my chiltepins--since they ripened so late, I didn't have a big crop--and still have some pequins left that I dried and flaked.
I tried to overwinter one of my pequins. It started leafing in January or February, and seemed to be doing very well. And then it died. I don't know why. Maybe its internal clock got all screwed up or something.
When I realized I was gonna have one big pot left over this year, I started germinating a couple of pequin seeds. After a month or so they actually started growing. Transplanted one a couple of weeks ago, but it's only about an inch high so far. We'll see if it shoots up eventually. Doesn't matter a great deal; the other peppas are getting bigger and bigger. I've already rearranged them once, and will have to do it again so they don't grow all over each other. The neon yellow hab is really gigantic, and the bhut jolokia shows promise of getting pretty large too.
