Janice, I use my dried ground pequin pepper on damn near everything I eat. I really love the flavor of it. Thankfully it only takes a little of it because of the heat. I saved two of my peguin plants from last year by keeping them in my garage this past winter and brought them back out in the spring. Watching them grow though is still like watching paint dry. Did you ever do anything with your pequins or chiltepins? I sprinkled some chiltepin pepper on something I ate the other day and it took me awhile to get my taste buds back. That stuff is hot.
