It is not required nor is it material as to whether Wilson is completely honest or not.

It is a documented fact that Wilson helped expose the Niger yellowcake lies.
It is undisputed that these were lies with faked documents.

It is also documented that Cheney was very angry with Wilson's actions.

The fact that Wilson's opinion on why Libby's sentence has been commuted co-incides with mine has nothing to do with his honesty.
It is a logical interpretation of the available facts.

Incidentally when Henry II got pretty angry about a certain detractor he did penance by walking barefoot in a rough woollen robe to the scene of his crime and was flogged by the monks.

An appropriate punishment would be to flog Cheney on the steps of Congress.

But it seems that the checks and balances in place in 21st Century America are less strong than on Medieval Kings of England.

Regards,
Ian

michael -- it is this that the argument is about -- fact or opinion ??
============
...our role as a defender of liberty continues to this day.

Our enemy knows no allegiance to any flag or country, but rather to a murderous ideology that drives him to kill and maim in a ruthless push to rip liberty away and subjugate all of humanity to a repressive, hateful regime dedicated to a dark god, anathema to freedom.

On this day, amidst our jubilant celebrations of democracy, let us not forget that our liberty comes at a price, and it is only through our continued tolerance at home and leadership abroad that it will survive.

IMO, it is a fact and it matters not a wit when/or how it began

Likely long-term, history will record it as a religious war that began about 1000 years ago
