agreed, or make the CD's with something special that an MP3 can't. Personally I like to read the lyrics and see images of the musicians and such, can't get that from an MP3.
It doesn't seem quite so easy to thwart as you have suggested.
If it "databases the perpetrator even in the event of an AD/DA conversion," that would mean pirating is traceable.
The Trimark technology doesn't directly stop copying, it traces anyone doing it and identifies pirated music. This might give anyone making copies considerable pause.
