Nanotech the big theme
Forgive my wierd sense of humor but I seem to be getting the message that a theme for 2004 is that small is big
But this sounds so bubbleheaded to me
Maybe a key ingredient to this play is that it is sooooo difficult to understand scientifically speaking that investors are simply willing to buy in on sheer faith that something really big must be brewing from such complex "rocket science"

ZEEV: VECO may be a viable nano play - they are the AMAT of the nano business. RANCH

MFIC is not really a NANO company, they are in the colloid generation business, selling capex to others, and barely making a living.

Zeev, colloids are nano. If the particle size is larger than about 250 - 500 nm or so, depending on the particle composition, then the solid/liquid mixture or dispersion is not stable over time, phase separating eventually. There are many materials sold and used that are referred to as "colloids," but are unstable dispersions; people inaccurately use the term colloid for simplicity. Colloids that are stable having particle sizes less than about 100 nm or so are nano-scale materials.

All of that said, I haven't bothered to check out MFIC at all; just wanted to make a pedantic comment =P
