As a lesson in the use of Orwellian dialectic, one can hardly find a more glaring -- or prodigious -- example than in New York Times writer, Elisabeth Bumiller.

Her work is the essence of newspeak.

Obfuscation, befogging issues, muddying the waters -- these Mrs Bumiller has raised to a veritable art form.

A fierce partisan liberal, her spinning and twisting glibly surpasses even James Carville, Mr. Propaganda officer himself. For Bumiller, the pivot isn't truth or accuracy, but agitprop, tautology, doublespeak -- the thicker, the oilier, the better. Conveying facts, chronicling events -- to Bumiller, these are secondary to "journalism's" Primary Mission: Making Democrats look good, whatever it takes.
