The guy is lucked that he is such a big fish, he wouldn't have survived trading his own money these days. He just goes with the trend and is only coming to realize that yields have been climbing since 2003. But he will make some money along the way. It would have been nice if he told people at 4.5% to sell but he was the one selling back then. Now he is buying them up from 5.0 to 5.5%
My best guess would be that 5.5 on the 10 y will be a peak this year and then we get a down slide in the yield. Probably to 4.00%. But this is the spike I was talking about that should have driven TLT down. Didn't know when it was going to happen but that it would happen some time between Spring and Summer. Once we peak late June July we yields will start flatting out or drifting back down.
