Good question, and one I'm not sure what the answer is but their latest release indicates that they are doing their own analyzing on site. I will check with a friend who speaks to the company and find that out for sure as well as if it is subjected to further off site testing. I've never considered that a biggie because of the stellar rep that Blair, the CEO of SUR has with the few people I know who know him or of him. Very similar to your portrayal of the Nova peeps below.
I suppose the BRE-X dude had a good rep as well to get away for as long as he did. <sigh>

"All sampling is personally undertaken by experienced technical personnel who each have more than 15 years experience in correct sampling practices. Sampling practices are personally approved by Mr Rennie Blair Msc, FAusIMM, the President of Sur American Gold Corporation who is a qualified person as defined by National Policy 43-101."
BTW, I don't know about Moriarty or his reputation but his high reguard for the people at Nova Gold is spot on as I know some of them and know them to be 24-7, bright and honest people. My respect for them has not been diluted even though the stock has been more than a 20 bagger from where I mentioned it long ago.(G)
I'm not saying he's a bad guy, only that he is for sale. <gg>
