Police activity on GWB causing delaysUpper lever traffic stopped in both directions Eyewitness News (New York - WABC, June 1, 2007) - Traffic is stopped on the upper level of the George Washington Bridge due to police activity.
Police say a man climbed the bridge just after 7 a.m. and sat on a suspension cable near the tower on the New Jersey side. Traffic was stopped in both directions on the bridge's upper level, until police can get the man down safely.
