If there is a huge short position and say the brokers hod most of it then it makes sense. I presume someone like Aturd sets small goals like wanting to buy 100000 shares today and they only see 80k being offered I can see them refusing a buy so that they get first priority on those shares. Not sure this is legal but they can do this.
