DD looked good here was seriously thinking about buying in. Guess it was good all my money was tied up in other stocks that are currently down lol.
Had 700,000 shares of this in my account......
....and then, about 5 years ago, they magically evaporated into nothing! LoL

Dang just found out about the history of this stock on an article, so I'm guessing you people are the forgotten ones.. LoL
Long time!! I still have 11,558 shares of PAVC.... Anything possible with these?? https://www.google.com/finance?cid=88601752232994
Remember they merged?!
I'll take them all just tell me where to send the SASE.
and its worth how much??? lol same as mine...hog
It's way too late to write it off as a loss for 2014...you have to hook up with your broker and surrender your shares as a total loss in a defunct company. Not really sure what the exact process is, but I know it can take several weeks or longer to have them declared a total loss.....and of course there is a cost to do this from the broker...... or have sold prior to the end of the year at a loss....and remember...you can only write off $3000 per year as a loss.
Also.....the IRS and SEC both have very specific rules/requirements for what is classified as a "worthless stock". You now have a year to investigate and prepare to see if it is worth the effort. I believe "worthless stock" is deemed sold on Dec. 31 of each year, so that plays into it as well...for both short term and long term gains/losses as they are applied against the like kind. short term gains/losses offset each other as do long term gains/losses.
hope this helps a little
So does this even trade anymore? TIA
What's the best thing to do? Write it off as a loss or hold onto it and hope for a miracle? Thanks
PAVC man i remeber this SCAMOLA
keep the shares and hope by some fantastic miracle it comes back. ... I guess that is what I will do... lolzzz... had just noticed that I had tons of this in my account blaah... had never even bothered to hover over or click on the number before, 'till just a bit ago... lololzzz... or if I have done so in past... I don't remember
So do I ... somehow? ... does not show up as PAVC though
this is a dead stock...you can do a few things with it. Pay your broker to have them declared worthless and take the write off...and your broker will happily do this for you...for a price.
Probably won't have time to do it this year...typically takes a few weeks to a month or more depending on your broker.
Keep in mind you can only deduct I believe $3000 a year in stock losses.....something to verify as I haven't checked it for a few years.
You can get a cert by requesting your broker send it to you....again a cost to that as well.
Frame the cert and hang it over your toilet ...I did this
use the cert for toilet paper
keep the shares and hope by some fantastic miracle it comes back.
So what are we supposed to do with the shares in our accounts. Still showing the stock symbol as numbers.
I have a shares of this stock from 2007. Is it still worthless?

The brokerage I referenced in the previous message was not Fidelity. It was my second brokerage account.
For me, I was able to get my brokerage company to tell me the right form to use to get my shares declared worthless. I'm done with PAIVIS.
What's the update on this?
I think I still have my actual certificate
things are lookin up...got some good stocks and makin some bacon...lol

I'm still around...most everyone else is gone....talked to Frank a few months back, and hyper I used to talk to all the time. But after the Rufus nightmare, I think most everyone pretty much scattered. You might be able to find some of them on Skype.
Dallas - any of you old timers still around...
I have not been on the boards in years...

Howdy again!! Another year! :) God Bless all!
Happy New Year. From time to time, I check the Nevada Secretary of State website under Business Entity Search. Here are details on Paivis: http://nvsos.gov/SOSEntitySearch/CorpDetails.aspx?lx8nvq=pOhgoMdo4O7RWW%252fE8ordZw%253d%253d
Entity Name NV Business ID Status Type
PAIVIS, CORP. NV19971159132 Revoked Domestic Corporation
Note: The Status has four categories:
Active
Default
Revoked
Dissolved
For some reason, Paivis has not been placed in Dissolved status. So, it could come back at some point if the appropriate fees are paid. This may be the reason the PAVC or PAVCE stock listing on brokerage accounts can't be removed.
