Is it now? The S2 was supposed to be ready for tether testing last July. That was when it was alleged to be ready for tests which would satisfy the FAA that the airship was fully controllable. Since then, Palmdale has been more quiet than a graveyard.

Apparently, the agreement between the USAF and Sanswire for testing at EAFB expired long ago and there has been no word of any future negotiations. What is going on?

I am beginning to think that the S2 has IN FACT been put on the back burner and GTEM is now caught between a rock and a hard spot. I can emphatically say, for all intents and purposes the S2 does not work. Last July they said the S2 was READY for its' test regimin, but nearly a year later....still nothing! And now, they are talking about an aerostat.

Pull her out of the barn, Murch, and prove me wrong!
