Labor Day is celebrated on May 1, and is a public holiday.
From 1990s, the Labor Day holiday has been extended from 1 day to 3 days. Furthermore, Chinese government makes it a 7 day holiday by moving the prior weekend and the upcoming one together with these 3 days. Now Labor Day holidays is one of the three Golden Weeks in China. Millions of Chinese people travel within China during this holidays. Since 2003, a lot of Chinese citizens visit the Hong Kong Special Administration Region during the Labor Day holidays
It may be that this is a reason we have not heard anything. Further, the low volume tells me nothing has gone wrong.
