I like that 'maybe' you threw in there.. Its sure going to be interesting!! What has me scratching my head is all the 'shit' that has bubbled in the last few months and every day you can add more and more to that list.. Hell- look at the stock NANO.. Heres a stock that rallies everytime the Nano sector gets a boost and yet it has absolutely nothing to do with nano technology thats affording the others a rich premium. Who cares tho? Just buy it because its got volume and its going up!!! arrghhh.. I just thought that people would have learned just a little from the bubble we just came from..
Of course- like you, Im not going to fight it.. if wallstreet wants to party we will party and I can get drunk on exubberance just as well as the next guy! Im going to spend a few hours looking at some charts and ideally find some heavily shorted stocks that will pop if the rally is indeed the real deal..
Ill say this much tho- if the streets of iraq arnt filled with cheering people today (and Im not talking about what we are seeing now where they focus the camera on small groups of 20-30 people) Ill be even more skeptical of any rally.. I read a comment on a CNN piece this morning where an Iraqi security guard (employed and paid by the US) was quoted as saying 'This is sad because it means we are now stuck with the Americans...' Gee- your welcome sir...
you know Maine it just occured to me in reading some of these posts that most BIG BOY shorters are not dumb by any means in terms of the inst and hedge funds and they knew that the possiblitly of capturing Saddam and/or OBL was always out there to have a HUGE affect on the market, so they might have been laying off waiting for this type of news to get done before really laying it on...
in other words, initially the longs will be dancing in the streets but might be careful what you wish for because you might just get a real big serving of humble pie and be looking BACK and wondering how in the heck did the market collapse after such good news???
