SHFL ($0.65 and $.80 to $2.85) nearly 3 pointer in stock also, held 1/3 through close hard stop @ 32.50(We chased the calls for hours yesterday) and the bulletin came in at 3:00 got filled prior to the report.. (tried from 12:30 p.m.)
Marketgems after doldrums market commentary 1:23 EST: Markets gapped up significantly on the news over the weekend of Saddam's capture, but gave back much of the gains and nasdaq has now headed to negative territory. we will give the market one chance at 2:00 and 3:00-3:30 to try to bounce but good news is still a commodity to sell short. S&P futures and NQ's are now trading at the lows of the session.
We painted some dire expectations on the retailers that are reporting this and next week and did get stopped out of 2 retailers which did their best to rally above the opening gap 'n crap but succumbed at the rising 20 ma moving average, reinforcing our opinions that folks are not going to necessarily be buying plasma tv's at best buy because Saddam Hussein has been caught. (If anything they'll get them via mail order warehouse in New York, where you 'll get the same electronic toys for 40 to 60% off the BBY and CC prices) Been doing business with the same warehouse since 1992 (now I added another 2 in the tri-state area) and if they had a stock, I'd have bought it long ago.
