#73695 RE: m2ugly2fish #73691

m2ugly2fish, here is a teaser, Pshem is Kostro and Klaus is Klaus Bonn. More stuff in the files section on our Google Group

Dear Pshem,

Whoever told you that the HotZones are working is simply a liar. We are doing the whole debugging stuff now in Germany. A Sales office as a development centre but necessity is the mother of invention. The product is very far away from maturity. I can proof that. It is not even worse a discussion and we are her not in Ripley’s “Believe it or not” show. We found more than 30 severe bugs in less than two weeks.

And the HotZones in Mexico and their abilities to handle customers are very far away from a carrier business despite the fact that they are based on our software. There is one simple question: What has GlobeTel Wireless done in the US the whole time? Since we are pushing it now there is a measurable progress but in the month before?

Last year October you and I have been in Moscow as a part of a presentation in front of the Duma guy Mitrafanov, where GlobeTel has used my equipment as demonstrator. We have shown telephony, video on demand and many other things. Until that date has been no real progress! In Germany the first HotZones have arrived at the 2nd of June.

Today the hardware itself is only a showcase. The internal radios are of cheapest quality. We have measured the antenna output and found out that the radios themselves will kill each other in terms of radiation. The single radio is not shielded (protected) against electromagnetic radiation and the 2nd port on the radio normally used for diversity purposes can’t be disabled. Pigtails are cables between the radio card and the case. Our pigtails are below cheapest quality. They are not shielded and acting as antennas. You can’t put four radios as proposed in the box and other many things. In terms of competition we are behind the complete market. WiFi carrier equipment can be bought everywhere also very cheap, today we should offer MiMo WiFi devices/solutions.

The DECT features from us are still under development in Hard- and Software. WiFi VoIP Phones are getting better and better and we will have only a market niche. We can’t compete against mobile operators. Mobile is going cheaper and cheaper.

Coming to the software: The chosen software from Antcor in Greece looks pretty good but lacks all the features of a stable release. WiFi security as a standard feature is not available. We are debugging their software as fast as possible but I called Antcor and asked them about our contract. They don’t have one! For the operating system the crucial part of everything we don’t have a contract. Not bad.

They can go away whenever they want. We are debugging their software without getting something?

And Uli will develop hardware for the Stratellite? That will give you more fun than you can bear. Uli, the management solution of 2006. I love that.

Beneath this technical bullshit, I think, that we can prepare a working hard-and software solution in six weeks that can be used in pilots and comes close to a pre-release.

And Pshem I can proof the whole enchilada

Yours

Klaus
