I believe we resolved the matter (on the Q & A board).

My guess with regard to cybertrader is that they use the same software you do and it generates the same (or at least a very similar) cookie request. The ones of theirs that I've seen show the source as "ads.cybertrader.com". The similarity in structure led me to believe they were piggybacking over here and showing "www.inverstorshub.com" as the source.

Incidentally, the explanation we arrived at last night also explains the difficulties I had with "preview" and posting private messages. Since I hadn't accepted the server's cookies, I almost certainly timed out. I'm not particularly fast at composing messages. By the time I finished, the server had lost track of me. Hence, the problems.

Even if that explanation is wrong, it sure sounds good.

Wicked cool, simple feature request:

When you do a full text search, you get a list, just like if you are viewing a board. You have to click every fricken' one to read the messages, across the various boards.

So, a neat idea. Apply the "Read Last 50 by Author" to the Full-Text search....so you get the latest 50 results in full-viewing mode.

Whatcha think?

I've been wanting to do this since the days of IH_Code_Monkey_Gary. We need to add something to the user registration process.

1. E-mail checking - it checks if you are signing up but already have an account.
2. E-mail verification - send out an e-mail with a random number and asks you to click it.
3. A verified e-mails gets you to 3 posts/day.
4. A new account has 0 posts/day until e-mail verification is complete.

This will cut down on the invalid accounts and multiple aliases.

I want to go a step further. If someone signs up AGAIN with the same e-mail, don't tell them it's invalid, send them to the registration screen and fake it. Let them spend all day trying to figure out what is broke. <g>

How about adding a "This Board" option on the Search drop down menu at the top of all pages. It is a real pain, sometimes, to have to go to the boards main page to search that thread.

I'd like to see a repair of the feature that blocks messages from ignored posters. It worked for about an hour when you first wrote it and then no longer.

Nice job on the folders feature, btw. Very useful.
