I alluded to the opinion that HRCT may have the best model for China at the present time. As for Dell's techies, if they follow their plan for China I'm sure they will be hiring locals for those positions who will, of course, be able to converse fluently.
The old brick and mortar approach still works in the US. Dell has opted not to use it but as successful as Dell is, there is still room for others to provide services to those customers that prefer to see and touch before they buy. Dell's market will probably increase over the next decade as computer buyers in China become more computer savvy and sophisticated.
