There are Applications & there are Services.
PIM is an application that takes advantage of the
TPM to securely hide the keys in hardware.
The Services enable you to attest that a TPM is
real & allow you to manage the lifecycle of that TPM.
Activation rates relate to the takeup of Services Not
the use of the bundled Applications.
The only difference between the current retail ETS software
suite offerings,Pro & Business,is Pro includes PIM
software & Business does not.......the difference in
price for these CD's is $10........

I believe if you buy an Intel D865GRH to upgrade your PC or buy a PC that includes one, you get all of the ETS Pro Edition, including PIM. But if you have a ThinkPad with an Atmel TPM you would pay 49.99 to Wave directly for the CD, since the Atmel does not come bundled with the ETS software.

With regard to IBM users, I know for a fact that basic client ETS (Business and Pro Editions) are being marketed to IBM enterprise users. Volume deals are at reduced prices compared to the 39.99/49.99 at the Wave website.

Of course Embassy Trust Server offerings are all Premium services and are extra, whether basic client ETS came bundled on your machine or not.
