15 British sailors caught by Iran, U.K. government says

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- 15 British sailors have been seized by Iran's navy while patrolling off the coast of Iraq, the U.K. Ministry of Defense said. The U.K. boarding party had completed a successful inspection of a merchant ship when they and their two boats were surrounded and escorted by Iranian vessels into Iranian territorial waters, the British government said. The Iranian ambassador has been summoned to the Foreign Office, it added.
