Bulldozer,
RE: I think it's obvious that a trader, who is out at this point would like to see the stock go down to create a profitable entry point; whereas the long term holder wants to see the stock go up of course. And the posts of the two opposing schools here on the board will reflect these agendas whether we realize it or not. That's really all there is to it.
Bull, that is a very honest and common sense statement. The part of whether we realize it or not, well what can I say to something I may not even realize.
You seem to be speaking from the heart. I will respond in kind. But Bull I want you to try and really listen this time, ok.
While it is true I trade stocks I prefer to hold stocks. Much less work. I hold many and trade few. There is a reason for the ones I hold and for the ones I trade. My point is I'm very aware of the long-term game. I would also add pure traders do not study any one stock or have the depth of knowledge in that stock .Not needed for pure trading.
What I post about this stock is what I feel about this stock. I would love to post nothing but wonderful things about this, or for that matter any other one, but that’s not how I see it. I really do feel the Ericy case had a less than reasonable conclusion. I really do think IDCC management should have kept their mouths shut about triggers. I really do think the insiders are taking advantage of the shareholders, as apparently others do per the last vote. I really do believe we should have seen more movement in licenses and so on and so on. It's clear I don't have the same faith in this company or especially in it's management as you do. That doesn't make me wrong any more than you.
When I say it's over valued, I MEAN it's over valued. When I stated it's over sold I MEAN it's oversold. This is not a game, this is how I see it. I don't recall anybody trashing me as I tracked and reported this last rally. And if somebody didn't ask me you never would have known that I sold. I saw no reason to be dishonest and lie about it, I wonder just how open and honest all others are under these same circumstances. But no matter, none of my business.
You mention opposing schools but it's the same side of the fence, to make money on a rising stock, the difference is in the time factors and that is partly factors by the type of market condition and stability of the stock, beta factors.
And finally whether you believe it or not, I don't post to make the stock rise or fall, period. Nor do I believe it can be done, but even if it could be by somebody, and I can't think of anybody other than Jimlur that could do this, and he wouldn't, it would not be repeatable.
