Finally something to get somewhat excited about as a mets fan, AJ Ewing is apparently being called up tomorrow it sounds like. Now although I can't wait to see him, he has play 12 games in triple A, so once again another rush job because of a desperate gm to change something after this absurd trainwreck so far. But at this point I rather see him than andy ibanez who must be dfa'd tomorrow, I have no need to see tommy pham the sequel anymore, the original stunk the sequel is even worse with him not getting a hit so far, and can't field the position costing them 3 unearned run yesterday alone.
AJ Ewing is a unique talent in the fact he stole 70 bases last year, yes 70, that is all world speed. he has stole 17 bases this year in 30 games. Between Double and triple A he is currently hitting 339 with a 447 obp. if he can get on, he can create havoc for the other team with that speed he has, normally I like power, but I will never argue with a speed guy who gets on base a ton for the leadoff spot in my opinion.
