Thanks Slave, I believe another poster indicated the ORI process led to more potent dendritic cells. If that's not the case for us, I believe our vaccine as is will do great things, especially when therapeutics like Poly-ICLC are added. The vaccine clearly causes T-cell concentration to be far higher at the tumor, I'm not sure that it's understood why, but many benefits of aspirin still aren't understood, you don't need to understand it to benefit from it.
We need to recognize that all won't benefit from our vaccine, but many will. I don't really believe it's possible to say that there is a benefit if someone lives 4 months who was only given two months to live, but when months are expected, and years are added, I think the benefit is undeniable. I'm hoping a friend with stage 4 breast cancer might be eligible for DCVax-Direct once trials are to be initiated again. The cancer is in her bones, and nothing is known that could cure it, but Direct might give her more time. Meanwhile she and her husband are trying to make the most of their lives, I've never heard her complain.
