Two serious questions come to mind.

First, what makes you think trump has any power to demand such a thing, or that the Iranians won't just laugh in his face... or should I say "continue to laugh in his face"?

Second, what makes you think trump has any interest in a vote? Are any of his friends in the Gulf running democratic countries?

What is the one thing that 90% of Iranians lack that the IRGC has if they were to kick out the old gov and bring in a new ? Hint. The same thing the Venezuelans, Cubans, Chinese, Russian and North Korean people don't have...............Care to guess
