One has to wonder why was IDCC not bought out by a larger player? Will LWLG be able to stay independent so it can reach its full long term potential? Most here hope so! The main reason I am not in favor of a buyout is because I want this energy saving technology to help every company and hence the entire country/world. I like to see multiple foundries incorporating the Perkinamine PDK as that makes it more difficult for any one company to monopolize the benefits.
On the ETF topic, I am not particularly in favor of it. The stock has always been easy to manipulate and this will only contribute to the daily volatility. However, I am not a day trader, but I do sell options (mostly puts although that strategy is no longer attractive). The increased volatility should increase the premiums, but the mechanics of the ETF is to sell the puts and calls, which in theory will decrease the premiums. I would guess the option market makers will start trading weekly expirations. I will be watching how this ETF goes, but I will not participate.
