A while back, Rick Rule said he had taken profits in a lot of the junior / exploration stuff, in favor of the larger 'best of best' names (FNV, WPM, AEM), plus bullion. He said the exploratory miners depend a lot more on the metal prices remaining higher for longer, and the small miners were no longer cheap after the big runup. He had also moved proceeds into the oil / gas sector, which had been way out of favor. Not sure if he is taking profits there yet though.
Fwiw, my own ability to pick stocks / sectors has shown to be dubious at best, even in 'normal' times. Add in the current craziness, and I'll be happy to just not lose money.
I'm wondering if these 'ceasefire' talks are merely a smokescreen to buy time for the US to re-arm with more missiles. Iran's missiles reportedly cost $9 K each, and ours like the Patriot are ~ $1 mil each, and we're running dangerously low after having sent so many to Ukraine for the last 4 years. Think of it -- that endless Ukraine war has been going for longer than the US was in WW 2 (!) In the M East, they've basically been in continual war since the creation of Israel in 1948. Time to move to a new planet, there's no sign of intelligent life on this one.
