gfp: Trump gambled and he isn't going to leave the craps table without accomplishing what Israel wants us to finish. If he bails out now he knows he's finished come November. So at this point what does he have to lose? It isn't his sons or grandsons endangered in the theater of war. They all probably loaded up on defense company and oil stocks back in late January. If we win and what's left of Iran's leadership capitulates in return for safe passage to Pakistan and a pile of money then Trump can take victory laps until November. Oil flows will resume. The world can return to semi normal. Then he will set his sights on Cuba and finally a deal with Denmark over Greenland. His grand plan of hemispheric defense will be complete and he can begin to cut us loose from having to subsidize Europe through NATO and other commitments. If Europe wants to continue to commit civilizational suicide we can let them go off on their own. The old saying is they you break it, you own it. Trump owns Iran now. We have complete air supremacy. We can fly around anywhere in the country. Why not do massive air lifts of weapons to the people of Iran so they can defend against and ultimately overthrow the radical Shia regime. Some call for the people of Iran who want freedom to rise up. With what? Sticks and stones? They are understandably fearful. We've abandoned them at least twice now when they took to the streets. I would not trust us either. We have a reputation of cutting and running and leaving our "allies" to their fatal fates.
