Missling will most likely try again with the same data and existing or new layers of post hoc analysis to see if he can get it past the FDA. If the FDA, under its new administration, does grant accelerated approval, then I will be interested in the results from a properly designed Phase 3 trial. It could well work out, but it would take at least three to four years before we know. This is why the FDA now requires a confirmatory trial to be at least initiated, and preferably already running, when granting conditional approval.
If or when that fails, Missling will disappear and continue his party lifestyle with a lot of $AVXL investor money accumulated in his bank account.
Any trust in Anavex and Missling should at this point be very low, but there are always new greater fools. Next time, if investing in biotech, do remember to sell on every price spike unless it is clearly related to meaningful, solid news.
