#5181 RE: bigworld #5177

Bigworld, >>> UUU Energy Fuels <<

The nuclear sector seems like a tough area to evaluate these days. It languished for decades, but then zoomed between 3X and 10X in recent years, depending upon the specific stock / ETF. I owned some several times, but only briefly. The 'electric everything' paradigm is a huge tailwind, with the AI data center buildout, etc. But I missed the boat, and now wonder about the high valuations.

I also worry about a nuclear powerplant being hit during a war or terrorist event. The outskirts of the Zaporizhzhia plant in Ukraine has been hit several times, and the outskirts of the Bushehr plant in Iran has been targeted twice by Israel in recent weeks. Also Iran reportedly hit right near Israel's Dimona nuclear facility as a warning.

Anyway, if a nuclear plant does get hit, the subsequent disaster could really poison the well for nuclear power generally. Countries are building new plants all over the place, but having nuclear plants makes a country extremely vulnerable to attack, blackmail, etc. Anyway, that's a reason for caution, plus the stock valuations are no longer cheap.
