OR they became aware of the company, looked at its history and financials, and decided its a good investment, which they passed on to their readers. I believe they did not take in to account any partnerships or buyouts, just basing their evaluation on the facts currently avail. They gave a price point of 1$. Thats not important and not a smear. Important part is they believe they will get approved. Price points and everything else, after approval, can be easily updated.
If they had said SP expected 20$ a share, there would probably be posters crying it should 100$ a share. Take the win
