The consequences of the events that have already occurred in the Middle East war will have effects for months to come at least, and the worse things get, the worse will be the repercussions that may last for years. Even with a ceasefire and total opening of the Strait, which events seem very unlikely, the damage has been done. The effects will start rippling through the global economy. The U.S. and Iran aren't on the same page in talks, they're not even looking at the same book.

An attempted siege of any Iranian territory would be very deadly. So many complications. It looks like Israel wants to take control of the land south of the Litani River in Lebanon as well. It's just like the situation of the irresistible force and the immoveable object. Something's got to give.
