He (Dr. Lebby) plays (or played) an advisory part of some sorts per a past 10k?. Lebby wasn't replaced because of "marketing", he was clearly replaced from a business strategic operations reasons/direction.
He didn't "step aside" he was removed, decision led by Yves on the BOD, because Lebby went down a failing path/direction to make the company's core products flourish is a VERY FAST moving environment of AI Data Centers/HyperScalers mega large companies wanting to get their hands on Perk for developing their PICs with their own/partner largest/photonic specialized founderies in the world it appears (more TBD).

Blum was brought in to do more of the sales/marketing. And others hired-- CTO and VP Engineering for their experience, knowledge, industry relationships to make the Perks partnerships flourish, as well as advance to other verticals.
