gfp: Two things surprised me over the past several weeks. First, I didn't think the metals/miners would correct so severely. In a war you would think the metals would be in even greater demand. And second, I would have thought that with the higher oil prices and the loss of natural gas and LNG from the world's supply due to war damage, that XLE would have been up a lot more that it has. Over the last month XLE is only up a little over 10%. I would have thought it would be up at least 30%. I'll take any gains when they come. But the gains have been surprisingly modest. Of course XLE is up 30% over the past year.
