Actually..I think Desmonds primary goal was to force a short cover. Once that would have been achieved...sky was the limit. What would be the advantage of targetting " weak " investors as you say...no benefit to this CEO...He has hinted to R/S in the past so I believe his focus is more directed toward share structure...if his plan would have worked...Merger or no Merger...squeeze trigger price is reached...PPS skyrockets as a result...Shell is exremely attractive due to very low float...
