Whenever an electric utility does a switching procedure to another substation, the very first thing is to check the DC battery voltage just in case something might go wrong during the switching procedure. I'm interested how hydrogen power supports DC backup voltage. It would require a generator with strict DC voltage regulation and seems like a slightly greater chance of failure than batteries.
