Mother Effers put this out to destroy our ER. This is only conceptual and everyone is panicking. They haven't built one station yet. Where is BYD going to come up with the tens of billions of dollars necessary to do the build out? Not to mention...this system doesn't work with any of their current vehicles. This would be equivalent to starting over.
Degradation, battery life, are they safe, still have to scrap the vehicle when the battery degrades. Grid support? Station storage systems.....how long do they last? Many unanswered questions here.
It's quite possible this is all a ruse to destroy battery swap. None of this may ever happen. Why would a company, with supposedly a great plan, expose it to competitors in its conception stage long before launch? That would be stupid and risky.
