looks like you still see the post in the post list and don't know it's been flagged with one of your filter flags until you click the post. So, when there is a long running name calling battle and spam after spam, or an Irate poster going off, all that stuff will still be seen on the post list?
I see little value in this new system. The only value I see is for the Admin department. It relieves the Admin department from getting constantly bombarded with requests to review posts that people think have been unfairly deleted.
Meanwhile, if a poster has their filters set so that they cannot see certain posts, they still might be attacked and debased and those posts will remain on the board for all to see (at least for those who have removed their filters).
Essentially, iHub is asking members to put blinders on and ignore posts that might be upsetting to them. I thought that's what the current ignore button was for?
Currently, a Mod tags a post and if people have that filtered out, they won't see the post. If there's no filter in place then they will view the post.
Do not undervalue your flock, Shelly. I'm sure you know they'll boldly search for, and find, new ways to give offense.
