Now America is seeing  trump,  who is out control,  turning on allies,  and destroying the economy,  but please look the other way as he tears the country apart.

B402, Though you have always been a pretender here there was a time i thought you could be brighter than your posts suggested, now since you have read more than enough times that the economy performs better under democrat presidents, you continue with you obsessive claim that dems are worse for the middle class and the poor than your repubs are, those days are gone forever. See:

AI Overview

Public opinion and data analysis suggest that while many Americans view Republican policies as favoring the wealthy and harming the poor, perceptions of Democratic policies are more mixed, with significant portions of the public viewing them as favoring the middle class. Analysis of economic trends indicates that income inequality has accelerated more under Republican administrations.

Key Findings on Policy Impact:

* Republican Policies & the Rich: A majority of U.S. adults believe Republican tax legislation, such as the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) and more recent proposals, primarily benefits the wealthy and corporations. Some analysis indicates these policies have resulted in significant tax cuts for high-income earners while providing minimal relief to low-income earners.

* Democratic Policies & the Poor: While Republicans often frame their policies as beneficial for all, Democrats in the House Budget Committee argue that Republican budgets, particularly in 2017 and later, have cut social safety nets (Medicaid, food assistance), creating, they argue, increased hardship for the poor.

* Perceptions of Democrats: Around 32% of Americans say the Democratic Party favors the middle class, with 31% saying they favor the poor and 26% the rich, according to a 2016 Pew Research Center study. A more recent 2024 poll, however, found that a majority (56%) believe Democratic tax policies favor the middle/working class.

* Economic Inequality Trends: Data shows that income inequality often accelerates during Republican administrations and slows during Democratic ones. However, some studies indicate that both parties' coalitions have become more similar by income over time, with the affluent increasingly polarizing between both parties.

* Alternative Viewpoints: Some researchers argue that rising economic inequality does not automatically lead to more demand for redistribution, and that voters often compare themselves to those with less, rather than to the rich. Additionally, some, such as the Cato Institute, note that some individuals believe the wealthy contribute to society through job creation.

Lol, No research clearly shows Dems switched to the rich from the working class
Yes. So did Repugs in your context which is not taking into other powerful shifts.
They pushed free trade through
Yes. Actually free trade has been a net benefit - see previous post about post war success, global waves, etc,..
They got China favored nation status
Yes. China was included in world trade to an extent
They take the side of criminals now over the law
No. I see many objections like today to the murder by ICE thugs
They wanted all the influx of illegal immigrants as the prior 4 yrs proved out
Yes, but a small amount of illegals, they wanted lots and lots of legal ones cuz then they vote Dem and Repugs are fucked forever..

And they see absolutely nothing wrong with it ...
What they see wrong is the .. count them now; 6 "they's" and (congrat's you managed only) one 'Dem' but same scapegoat
I mean, what a deep thinker, what a whiner pointing fingers at the boogie man,.. man, fuckin' broken record of little substance AND
It's proven pointless to go into depth on any and many of your legitimate concerns cuz it ends up in the same sad quagmire of blame
Sound like an drunk who's impossible to get off the channel they are on
Reminds me of some strong pot buddies were expert at they called Channel Changer - yep, lotta travel to various places without leavin' ur chair.. maybe try something like that..
The blame is well placed, their denial is what keeps us from changing back to an America we can recognize
Reminds me of Jackie Robinson and that other guy who sang Old Man River - fuckin' great and vital times, agree.. more fuckin' get up and go instead of sit down and suck one's own dick pining for the fiords of the 1950z.
And the will not do it, they had their chance to wake the f up [ok, we have a "the" a "they" and a "their" - all amount to the same and in one sentence this time.. that is really starting to look like one or two too many drinks and likely time to cut it off - believe me, I've gone back to read some drunk postings and .. sure, funny as all get out but not really fair to the recipient.. so, you are welcome in advance stfu and have a great rest! ;]
Things don't always go as planned but we muddle thru if stick together..

They definitely are not supporting labor currently, but they never supported free trade. Ever.....few people do and that is unfortunate. And as a huge supporter of free trade/free market.....Trump has destroyed me with his tariffs. Because they actually worked. He actually used them as Keynes suggested they be used...and that pisses me off even more. At least I can accept it...and be glad.

Never in the world did I expect the trade imbalance to correct so much because of it...but damn if it didn't.
