In 2017, Jim Rickards discussed the possibility of a deliberately induced global crisis, designed to further consolidate financial control (video below). The SDR scenario laid out in my last post has a different motivation (to stop China / BRICS), but shares the idea of a deliberate crisis designed to achieve a major objective.
Back in 2017, China was not nearly as big a threat to the US, but today the idea would be to force China into the SDR under duress, before they can get the new BRICS financial system fully operational and adopted. If that happens, the US dollar system is basically kaput, so for the US finance oligarchy, inducing a crisis is an existential desperation move. I have no idea if this is the plan, but it would sure make a good novel / movie :o)
