Selecting , vetting , managing the consultants and contractors was and is LP's responsibility . Buck stops there in every company . If you are going to hire third party consultants/contractors/law firms for everything , then managing them is the main if not the only thing you are doing .

The fact that she let a contractor unsupervised to the point of spending $900k designing a device that wouldn't even fit in the area it was needed is, to say the least, maddening.
