I believe you might have meant to say "puppet master"? Which I would disagree with.
The PM would be, in any stock, the toxic financiers.
They talk the owners into these deals with the promise of cleaning up a dirty ticker, but then to only get that fish on the hook and ride them as long as possible.
That's why they have these "reinvestment" clauses in the deal.
They won't go away, even when the CEO wants them to.
