We may or may not get a new CFO announcement in the coming week, but I think any truly newsworthy announcement before the new year would be a wasted opportunity. I'm just guessing, but I believe much of Wall Street is on a 2 week vacation right now. Any catalyst announcements the company might be sitting on should be saved for after the first of the year IMHO.
