Such considerations are one reason to include a placebo control arm, which is exposed to the same external conditions and variability. Then, as Anavex did, outcomes in the drug group and the placebo group can be compared. In this case the adverse events were higher in the drug than in the placebo arm. Trial size matters too, because too few patients in either arm increases the risk of skewed effects and makes it harder to obtain a reliable distribution and meaningful statistical outcomes.

Me too, Bill !!!.......glad you mentioned this; I try to stand on one foot by raising my other foot (need to use some support) for balance issues and spend about 30 minutes a day working on various stretches, etc. and light exercise with weights, such as deep knee bends, push ups, etc........My wife does also, downstairs, so we do not exercise together!
