Hopefully we get an update that further defines utilization of the raise.
I’m not sure its entirely warranted yet if the money isn’t definitively allocated for a purpose or if its a conditional term by a current or another potential parter, but Yves has been pretty good with communication thus far. We seemingly get more information every few weeks.
well i am not an expert but maybe they have more tier one customers than originally anticipated and the ramp up is going to need more money ....just a guess but a valid one imho
My take on why would be there’s someone who wanted a much larger stake in the wave. They had to generate more shares because not much is available on the open market. Look how quickly they got gobbled up yesterday. There will be a notice I’m sure in the coming days as to whom our new connection was made with. Stay tuned.
Ridethewave said, I was very encouraged by the announcement and believe the use of proceeds is about as good as it gets:
1) Accelerate the commercialization timeline 2) Expand US production capacity 3) Onboard additional large-scale design wins
Hard to imagine a better allocation of capital at this stage!
I have a new theory, what if one of the FG500's is having great early success in their device builds/tests already (including Foundry runs) , remember Polariton & SilOrix both had great success in little time with their tiny Devices build teams, these FG500's have Devices build teams that are incredibly large, I believe Nvidia has over 1000 engineers working various Devices projects, it's insane what they can build in little time, plus Lebby in '22 already stated "exceedingly high yields", couple all this with the never ending tagline of "Ease of Integration" and winning back-to-back Integration Awards at ECOC in 23 and 24, and so my theory is perhaps an FG500 wants assurance of no possible supply chain disruption and is requiring LWLG to duplicate their entire Operations, perhaps even in Asia if it is the Asian FG500
So why duplicate the entire Operations in another location you say, well what if the whole LWLG facility burned to the ground, could it be replaced quickly? I mean it seemed to take quite some time just to get the additional square footage added last year up and running successfully
