If L had been approved by then I believe the trial might have started but right around that time they were probably looking at how to improve Direct and find alternatives to BCG as well as facing product release issues that would affect both L and Direct. Strategic choices based on best timing likely had to be made and that’s why I believe this never got started. Maybe just the threat of being ready to do this also created the kind of leverage wanted at that time with potential future partner negotiations or verbal commitments followed by some clarifying action that Linda is known for. I remember the presentation Bosch gave with the Direct GBM trial. I was upset they were planning another GBM trial instead of other cancers. They had done initial Direct trials in other cancers and the next thing you know they are back to GBM. My thoughts were WTF. Maybe they got the message. With Kalinski they are finally moving forward the way I hoped they would. The brain tap may have got scrubbed with pre licensing collaboration.
